Sofia Hughes is an educational leader with extensive experience in international education, school leadership, professional collaboration and regional school improvement. Based in Buenos Aires, she has held senior leadership roles in several schools, including Head of Secondary at Bede’s Grammar School, as well as senior positions at Belgrano Day School, Northlands School and St Catherine’s Moorlands School.

She currently serves as Executive Officer of LAHC — the Latin American Heads Conference — where she supports the association’s mission of sharing expertise for school improvement across international schools in Latin America. Her work with LAHC builds on her deep familiarity with the region, its schools and its leadership challenges, as well as her previous involvement in the LAHC School Review process.

Sofia is also Executive Secretary of the International Confederation of Principals — ICP, a global network that brings together principal associations from more than 20 countries. Through this role, she contributes to international dialogue on school leadership, professional learning and the future of education. Her work reflects a strong commitment to strengthening school leadership through collaboration, trust, strategic development and the sharing of practice across diverse educational contexts.

Richard Gilby is an experienced international educator and school leader whose career has taken him across Greece, Egypt, Mexico and Latin America. He began his work in education as a teacher and later held senior leadership roles, including Head of Secondary and High School in Egypt and Headteacher positions in Cambridge schools in Cairo and Mexico City. He also founded his own school in rural Mexico, giving him first-hand experience of school development, leadership, and educational transformation across diverse cultural contexts.

He currently serves as Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, where he leads a regional team of education advisers supporting schools across the region. He is also recognized as an International Climate Change Education Ambassador, advocating for the integration of climate change education across the curriculum and for giving young people a meaningful voice in shaping sustainable futures.

Through his work with Cambridge, LAHC, ICP and other international education networks, Richard contributes to conversations on school leadership, curriculum development, sustainability, and the future of learning. His professional trajectory reflects a strong commitment to helping schools improve, empowering educators, and ensuring that students are prepared to engage thoughtfully and actively with the challenges of a changing world.

Alejandro Archundia is a Mexican educator, facilitator, writer and learning experience designer with extensive experience supporting teachers and schools in the integration of emerging pedagogies and educational technologies. He has worked for many years training educators in new technologies, innovative teaching practices and professional learning processes, combining his background in psychology, facilitation, creativity and performance to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences.

He has been closely associated with Soluciones Exa / Sensei Learning, where he has contributed to professional development initiatives for educators and school leaders. Alejandro is also known as Educateko, a public educational identity through which he connects creativity, storytelling, humor and pedagogy. He has published more than ten free e-books and has been recognized as a pioneer in the implementation of Apple Professional Development in Mexico, as well as a leader in the Apple Professional Learning community in the country.

Through his work, Alejandro brings together educational innovation, teacher development, technology integration and human-centered learning. His professional trajectory reflects a strong commitment to helping educators design richer learning experiences, embrace new tools with purpose, and foster creativity, curiosity and transformation in schools.

Peter Foster is an experienced Australian educator and school leader with more than thirty years of experience in teaching and educational leadership across Prep to Year 12. His background includes formal postgraduate study in educational leadership, boys’ education, and primary teaching, as well as senior leadership roles in Queensland schools, including his previous role as Principal of Hymba Yumba Independent School, where he led work connected to innovation, culture, student aspiration and 21st-century learning.

He currently serves as Principal of The Industry School — Brisbane, part of a deliberately different senior school model for students in Years 10 to 12. The Industry School supports young people who want a work-ready education, combining senior schooling with industry pathways, trade qualifications, apprenticeships or traineeships, and real-world learning across South East Queensland.

Through his work, Peter brings together school leadership, student wellbeing, innovation and future-focused education. His professional trajectory reflects a strong commitment to helping young people find purpose, develop confidence, connect learning with the world of work, and build the skills and character needed to thrive beyond school.

Patricia Glenn is an accomplished Canadian leader, facilitator and learning professional with extensive experience in organizational development, business operations and leadership growth. She is known for her ability to help organizations move from ideas to implementation, combining strategic thinking, operational discipline and a deeply stakeholder-centered approach. Her professional background includes more than fifteen years of executive experience in business development and operations, as well as leadership work with nonprofit organizations in Calgary.

She currently serves as Partner and Learning Leader at The NEXT Institute, a Canadian leadership and organizational transformation firm that works with organizations and leaders across North America. In this role, Patricia contributes to leadership development, organizational renewal and the design of more human-centered workplaces, helping leaders clarify direction, strengthen alignment and build the capacity needed to move toward their preferred future.

Patricia’s work is also grounded in her academic and applied research in leadership. Her Master of Arts in Leadership thesis at Royal Roads University focused on developing a decision-making framework for leadership teams, exploring how leaders can make more thoughtful, disciplined and accountable decisions in complex organizational contexts. Through her work at The NEXT Institute, she brings together leadership, learning design, organizational strategy and human-centered facilitation to support meaningful transformation in teams and institutions.
